NEW HABITAT- is this normal..

ok. uvb, good.
the other two, you dont need.
you can use a regular house bulb for basking.
NO RED LIGHT
dont need it, and they don tneed lights at night.
i think there are vets, i know there is a list here somewhere..... of vets by country... let me see if i can find it.
if there is, you need to hit a vet... get the internal nutrient levels under contrl before the mbd gets worse.
The nearest one is 4 hours away, problem is i don't have a ride.. She's had her eyes closed almost everytime i go check on her! I've only had her for two days & just a normal round light bulb from a house will produce enouph heat for her in there? I live in ontario so it's pretty cold here? I just called the place i got her from, & now i need to convince them she's got MBD because their trying to say she was healthy when she left, but i have a picture of her from the shop & her legs are like that.. Any backups on what i can say to them?
AND IS BONE-AID ANY GOOD?? they told me they'll give her that to boost her up a bit? But could this make her worse? .. i feel so helplesss .. :(

see if you have a vet nearby that handles birds. treatment is similar betwen the two species.
i have no idea honestly on bone-aid.
she needs good calcium.
if she was like that in the store, tell him. show them pictures.
and she has mbd. you can do a search on here for mbd chams, and find so many pictures... google too. then you can compare the pics you find to her and show them.
trust me, its MBD.

I'm printing pictures of healthy viel chameleons and ones with MBD right now... The way to tell is by there legs right? When it appears like they have two joints in there legs? .. SO dumb, i've had her for 2 days, hoping to spend a nice life with her & ever since she's here i find out shes got MBD and now she's sleeping during the day & will not eat! and she's in a lot better environment than what they had her in!.. She was in a small glass reptarium with only a basking light on her! Figures i should have known and done more research.. should of asked alot more questions

If they only had a basking light on her and no UVB(depending on how long) that would contribute to the MBD along with a lack of supplementation which we don't know if they did or what they might have used. I have seen alot worse, as I am sure you have seen by now from the pics. Closing of the eyes is not a good sign at all. As you probably have discovered by now, chameleons do not sleep during the day. Not eating can be expected when they change habitats and usually resolves itself after so many days, but the eyes of a chameleon can tell us alot. It is sad cause you go to a pet store and you see a chameleon sleeping and you think no big deal as most animals nap during the day. I know I used to see them in the petstores and now I realize they were probably very ill. Well, whatever your decision we are all here to help in anyway we can. P.S. and you are not dumb, dont be SO hard on yourself. We all have to start and learn at some point.
