New Guys from Oct 18 Puyallup Show

Believe it or not, I was pretty good this year  and I can EXPLAIN them all- no really I can.

FIANLLY a MALE Garg! I have some pretty ladies waiting for this boy to grow up. A little girl who knew her stuff about chameleons (a LOT more than the adults we encountered) named him Grayson.

I really wasn't planning on getting SunDog a honey but Sandy from Chameleons NW made me an offer I couldn't refuse. I didn't realize that she had 'persuasive' talents. Female Ambanja. I was thinking of naming her Rose, but that is so typical. Any suggestions?

I swear these guys followed me home...HONEST! Since we were at a CAPTIVE BREEDERS show, I am sure they are captive bred.

Night and day personalities. Oscar and Bert (hopefully short for Bertha). Both are eating and pooping. Oscar weighed in at 155grams and Bert at 186grams. Currently on Rept-aid getting 20 plus minute showers twice a day.

Last but not least is Zippy! Dang these guys are fast! Hopefully Zippers will be release in my chameleon room when big enough to prowl for wayward crickets and such. Therfore Zippy is a "working" gecko and not a pet. Zippy is 3 grams! Giant Day Gecko for those who are wondering.

For the others who attended the show, please feel free to post your new guys and tell us of your encounters.

Great Finds!

You picked up some great finds. That female Ambanja is gorgeous. She needs a special name for the blue/purple colors in her cheeks. She is ready to breed too! Let us all know how that goes. Pretty funny about those Melleri being "captive bred". Yeah, right  Great find though. I didn't think any Melleri would be at the show because of the captive bred requirement. Sounds like you are taking excellent care of them.

I can't believe that I came home with only a $15 tee shirt from Laurie's both. I've never come away from a reptile show without a new reptile. I was very tempted and had my eye on several things when I walked through the exhibits before the show started. I was so busy selling my own stuff that I never got back to buy them before they were sold to someone else. My hubby couldn't believe I came home empty handed. He was even disappointed that I did not get the things I described to him that I was thinking about

Congrats on your new babes :)

Cool beans! I envy everyone all their nifty reptile shows (we have expos here and there in mid-Michigan, but nothing spectacular). I really want a gargoyle - am thinking that might be my next herp.

Since when did Laurie run my booth?? HA - just giving you crap. :p

Call it a blessing when you come home empty handed. I generally don't and it becomes an issue when you go to as many shows as I do (thus, why Amy was supposed to take away my credit cards). Oh, and thanks to you, I kept my streak alive! Although technically, I didn't physically come home with that beautiful boy of yours (for those of you out there, he will be getting shipped to me...)!! (BTW - I will be contacting you soon about shipping him...)

Amy, I love all your purchases and am happy to see that Bert and Oscar are doing well. That garg was such a sweetheart, I'm sure he will be loving those ladies of yours!

She sure is, she is one of your captive hatched series. :D She already has a clutch incubating from Carlsey.

Still bummed I wasn't able to make it. :( You got some great new additions though! Hopefully the Mellers will turn out to be a pair for you. :)
