Here are a few pics of our new foster Veiled. Unknown age, unknown where he came from - he was left at the front door of a petstore. He has a list of medical problems already which are going to take a while to work out. He is dehydrated and underweight, had 4 abscesses that needed to be lanced and drained (culture is pending) - three of which are on his head and have bone involvement, he does have osteomyelitis in the jaw which has resulted in him only being able to mouth about a quarter of the normal amount and he also cannot shoot for food as he can't get more than the tip of his tongue out of his mouth. He has numerous areas of burns along his body. He has early MBD as well. He does also have coccidia, but that is the least of our concerns at this point.
His rehab will take a while, but our vet feels with aggressive treatment we should be able to get him back to an almost normal state. He is a tough little guy though - has been really outgoing and social with us, is really great about being handled for the meds and treatments and has been awesome about trying to eat everything we give him.
We're still in need of a name for this guy - I am horrible at naming, so help is always appreciated!
