New feeding way

So I use to let crickets go in her cage and she would eat them but I don't want to do this anymore for a couple reasons . 1. I don't want them to hurt her in any way. 2. I'm trying to get away from crickets almost entirely with roaches and silks and such like that and don't want anymore roaming the cage as roaches and worms tend to run and hide in places and then eventually die. So today I started to put her Ina a big bin and put the food in there for her to eat . She has not eaten anything today and I feel like it's just because it's something new she doesn't really understand this is how she will be fed for now on. So I am hoping she will get it tomorrow or soon as I obviously don't want her to starve. I had some Dubai roaches in there some superworms a hornworm and silkworms and she didn't budge I even left her alone a bit. Any tips or thoughts? This is what I put her in.

usually if you do something like this it works best if it's a continuous part of their cage.
like put it on a table intro not f her cage and give her an option to go to it? so should i leave the screen open all the time as like an extension to her cage?

she won't eat out of of a feeding cup also i find bugs just get out of the cup eventually somehow
Bugs do tend to escape. I have all of my crowd of lizard trained to eat in the same spot, but I change the cups depending on what I'm feeding. I used the standard deli cup and wrapped it up in a zip tie loop. That way I can slide the actual cup out and change the depth depending on the feeders I'm using.

well i have a feeder ledge with a cup in in it i got from lll reptile and the dubias somehow get out of it. i contacted nick to see if he has some of those feeder cups left i planned on getting 2 for a new build anyways.

No I mean actually in the bottom of her cage? Though I would definitely make it smaller depending on the size of your cage. I never use the ledges unless it's for a gecko of some type. They don't work for chameleons *Shrugs*

im not sure the bottom would work because 1 will she go to the bottom to eat? and 2 it will get filled with water from the mister and dripper

1. Depending on your chameleon? I have never had issues with my chams going to the bottom to eat if they see something that interests them. But I also provide them with lots of cover so just make her feel safe. 2. You can either drill holes or what I would do is use some sort of small holed metal screening.

hmmm do you think that one of those feeder cups nick has for sale will work? i can't find them on the forum anymore so im not sure if he has them but i just asked.

They work for a lot of people they would likely work for her. It often is just getting the chameleon's attention correctly. Which the feeder cups he provides does nicely. Plus it's easy to remove and clean ^^

sounds like a plan if he still has them. i was thinking the one that doesn't have a back just a stick in the middle and a cup at the bottom to give her 360 range?
