So, tomorrow I'll be picking up 6 month old female veiled. I have had a female before but had to re home her before she reached laying eggs stage. As far as I know she's 6 months old, great eater, and likes to be handled. My husband told me that I won't have enough time to make her a full size cqge but I have some extras for a temporary cage.

So I'm asking for female veiled advice lol

LOL I havent even got the little lady yet and thinking of names! Her name now is Tara but I'm not very fond of it! Funds didnt come in early enough to I'll be picking her up tomorrow morning. :) I cant wait I'm really excited (hubby isnt, oh well)

2 1/2 hours to go! :D I will post picks of her when she gets here! I made a small temporay enclosure for her for the time being... It looks like junk but the best I could do with scrap materials. All my plants are too big to put in there so going to need to pick up a small poths or something after hubby goes to work.

She's here!!

SHE'S HERE YAY! So this is the new addition! I took one of her full body since I dont think that shes 6m/o. And 2 of her wanting a real close up! Shes adorable. My son wants to name her Rainbow I want to name her Cutie Pie lol

I vote for rainbow too, it is a very nice cham.
Be careful thought, because usually chameleons don't really like to be handled or moved too much.

Oh I know... We've had our boy Ringo since he was 2.5 months old. My husband said that we will save the name Rainbow when we get a panther. He decided to name her Star! How old do you guys think she is. I don't think she's months old.

I have a female veiled that I've had from 11 weeks and she's now 11 months. She looks about the same size as your little 'Star', judging from the size of her casque. Since you already have a cham, you know that handling is okay but not in the first week or two! I would suggest you let her get used to her new home before handling her. The stress can take its toll. Oh, and a side note - my Isis laid her first clutch of unfertile eggs at 9 months so if Star is around that age you may want to keep an eye out for a bulging tummy or unusually quick weight gain, clawing at the bottom of her enclosure or digging in the dirt of her plants. Also, a quick trip to the vet for a check up and a fecal would be the best thing for her, since she is new in your home. You wouldn't want to have parasites and somehow, inadvertantly pass it along to your male. Just a suggestion!

She is beautiful and looks much like my little Isis. Congrats on your newest member!

ps: Rainbow is a great name for a Panther! ;)
