New eggs to start a new year

My veiled laid her third clutch of eggs (second fertile). She had been digging for a few days and trying tunnels and burying them. I was starting to worry, but this morning she was much thinner and the hole she slept in last night was covered.

I started to dig and found the "tip of the iceberg".

There are a total of 50 eggs. They are much whiter than the second clutch, as the second clutch of eggs wasn't immediately dug up and became stained by the topsoil.

Hi, if i could offer a bit of advice. Id personally go buy some childrens play sand from any hardware store. Make it moist enough, that you can dig and build tunnels. This will allow her to get in and lay how she is genetically geared to. :) Not that digging would be easy either way but making a tunnel in mud would be more work and heavier to move.

Good luck with your eggs!

I just used regular topsoil from Home Depot (no additives or fertilizers). I will get play sand for the next time. I really don't like how dirty she gets from the topsoil.
