new custom 10 dollar stand

so i had Cameron on a wire rack setup but it didnt sit very high plus i wanted him out of my room. A quick trip to home depot and a solid hour of sawing, measuring and drilling had a quick easy stand that is pretty low profile and portable! (already had to move the whole thing out of the house to have the pest control guys spray for bugs)


anyways here's some pics and some growth pics (he was 5 weeks when i got him and is now 3.5 months

got the wire rack from an old fridge at the bar



cut a hole for the drain fixture



painted weatherproof forest green and wrapped in Camoflauge netting from the surplus store

Very neat!

I saw this idea a while ago-- people would buy those metal grated racks pre built at target/walmart and then just put the cage on top, a tray on bottom, and have the water drip through.

10$ is a cheap find though for those materials, and the camo looks neat
