New Chameleon on the Block!

After searching a month for a baby Veiled, I was finally able to find one. I haven't named the little guy yet. Maybe I'll wait till his personality develops first. There are a few names I have in mind but a few people on here already named their Chameleon what I want to name mine. And I don't want to sound like a copycat. I was thinking about naming him "Iggy" after TY's Chameleon Beanie Baby or maybe "Skittles". We'll see later. I purchased him last weekend at the Midwest Reptile Expo in Indianapolis, IN. It was a difficult decision to make because there were about 6 other male Veiled's in containers. I spent like 10 minutes picking each one up and comparing them against each other. Nuts isn't it! Anyways he's 9 weeks old and a cutie! I have provided a few photos of him and his new home. The enclosure is 3x2x2 and was built 5 years ago when I had my first Veiled. I keep him in my bedroom along with my anoles, because it's the only place in the house that's the warmest. I have a special room down in the basement for my reptiles but it's too cold.

Cute little guy . And it's not original but I still think that Yoshi is by far the best name for a male Veiled lol. Especially if they're more green than turquoise or orange or yellow.

Ha, I had a cat a long time ago named Gizmo . Sadly he just vanished one day and never returned

Hey Thanks! My first Veiled's name was "Elvis" and I really like that name too. I want to name him that but It might be best to pick a new name for a new Cham. I know, and people were like staring at me too while I was picking each one up. It's like getting your first puppy!

I have to say I'm slightly offended now...nahh not really. He was an outside cat and always wandered around. Don't see where "he just vanished one day" sounds funny ?

The lady you got your guy from is a great resource, she raises good animals. Good luck with the name, my wife named are guy Boy George-sigh! It's funny I guess.

Yes she is very nice and resourceful. I purchased my first Veiled from her back in 2004. I don't recall meeting anyone at the show besides the vendor I purchased my Veil from. Where at the show did I pass or run into you at?

Hmmm... I'm sorry I don't remember. I don't remember telling you about the Jackson's I had seen. Your not the person who was selling crickets are you? I usually have a good memory and would've remembered something like that. Maybe I was just so overwhelmed with my new Chameleon and the crowd. What color coat was I wearing?
