Thanks for the reply, I noticed those as well and a tiny bit of a bulge near his vent but I didn't expect those to be big enough to classify as spors or his man zone. As for water, I mist his cage 4 times every day for about 30 seconds, and I have a little dripper running down from a fake plant on the side of the cage, onto a large leaf of the draecana. It looks like a male. With a veiled cham you can tell if they are male or female my looking a the back feet. Males will have a spur in the middle of the back foot. The pic is fuzzy but that looks like a spur on his foot. He also looks dehydrated to. What do you do for his water?
Thank you for replying. In the week I've had him he let me handle him once yesterday and that was only to clean out his cage. So as far as length goes, I can only guess around 3 inches.Definitely looks like a spur on the back of his left foot. That would make him a male. As for age....how long is he (NOT including his tail)?
He is probably dehydrated from the pet store. You will want to nit that in the butt fast. The best thing to do is put a plant in the shower with him in the plant and run the shower for about 15 min. Point the shower head at the wall so he is getting the mist that bounces off the wall. Use luke warm water. That should take care of it within a few days. I say all this because his eyes look a little sunken in to me.Thanks for the reply, I noticed those as well and a tiny bit of a bulge near his vent but I didn't expect those to be big enough to classify as spors or his man zone. It could be better as my girlfriend surprised me ( we did plenty of research in the months before ), but she just purchased a pet store cage kit, while I was leaning towards getting our cham from LLL or FL Chams, along with the cage and other ammenities, so I am going to be upgrading in the next couple of weeks. Yes, the kit came with the Zoo Med UVB & Heat Lighting Kit. 5.0 13w UVB and 60w Heat light. The temp. of his basking spot stays at around 86-88. I dust every day with Rep Cal w/o D3, and 2 times a month with D3. I've never liked feeding crickets so I purchased around 100 mealworms and I've started a small colony of about 50 dubia roaches. I gutload with Bug Burger, I also throw various greens and oranges in whenever I can.Welcome to the world of chameleons!
How's your husbandry? Do you have a UVB light? What's the basking temperature?
Do you dust with supplements? Which ones and how often for each? Do you feed/gutload the insects well? With what?
I think he might have an RI as well so I'm taking him to the vet right now.He is probably dehydrated from the pet store. You will want to nit that in the butt fast.
