New Cham owner - Advice needed

I had just recently acquired a baby Veiled Chameleon, I have read up on them a little bit but there were a few questions I couldn't find answers for.

1. Is it normal for it to be sitting with its mouth open for any period of time?

2. I have yet to see him eat yet, but I saw him grab a meal worm and then drop it. Is that normal?

3. He tends to close his eyes for short periods of time and then rub his head against the branch in his cage. Normal?

Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thank You!!!

Please fill out this form in as much detail as possible and pictures are very helpful.

1. Mouth open usually means they are hot and trying to cool off. Filling out the form will help us determine if your lighting needs adjusting.

2. Mealworms are not a good feeder. They can cause impaction and do not have much nutrition.

3. Closing eyes could be indicative of a deeper problem or as simple as debris in his eye. Again, fill out the form for the best help.
