New Cham Mom. Bit confused.

Hi all!
I just bought my first cham today at a reptile expo. Cutest girl ever! I have a Jackson. Is it normal for them to be a dark color almost black when first in the new habitat? She is in a Zoo Med glass tank with mesh ventilation on top. We are waiting on the new one from Amazon that is not glass. I have moss and a water drip system. Temp is at 75'-80' and humidity is 80%. She goes green when handled.
Thanks!

First, congrats! Jacksons are awesome. I got my male Jax back in March, and I'm crazy about him. He's so chill and adventurous. You're going to have a blast.

She is still getting settled in her new place, so I wouldn't worry just yet (although I totally made the same "new cham paranoia" type of post, ha!). Give her some space so she can get comfortable in her new territory.

A couple of questions:

Does she have plenty of foliage for a hiding spot?

Do you have both a basking light and a UVB lamp?

Have you set up a supplementation schedule?

Do you have a local cham vet just in case?

If you haven't yet, check out the care sheet for Jackson's on the forum. There should be a link that says "Getting Started" or "Care Resources" on the main page. (I'm on my phone or I would link it for you.). EDIT: Jannb linked to it!

That will get you the basics and we can help you with the particulars. You are going to have so much fun!

We demand photos!
