Male, veiled chameleonWhat gender and species of chameleon do you have?
Okay so you know, live plants only for veileds.Male, veiled chameleon
I am actually this weekend or next building him a massive cage
Yes I have like 2 fake plants in their though but a massive pothos that he eats all of the timeOkay so you know, live plants only for veileds.
Great on the new cage, though you need to take all of the fake plants out of his current cage ASAP. Veileds are notorious for taking a chomp out of anything, therefore fake plants and fake vines with leaves on them (fake vines with no leaves are fine) can cause an impaction risk. He also needs some more foliage, branches, and vines, too. How do you prepare the live plants and their pots before you put them in his cage?Male, veiled chameleon

Just make sure your rinsing is really good if you don’t use anything to drip them or wash them off with. Also make sure to put pebbles too big for him to eat over the soil so he can’t try to eat the soil.Ok. I just rinse them off a put them in.
Perfect!Yes I do. Ok
I’ll attach some links for chameleon-safe plants. One is actually veiled-tested, the others are just in general. The Chameleon Academy has great modules on setting up a cage, tooWhat other plants can I put into the cage
