New Cage - Start with DIY Aquazamp Raindome Copy

pg...been toying with the idea of making a custom cage with a screen panel that can be slid into the portion of the top of the cage, but below the installed nozzle giving you the same effect as a rain nozzle but with nothing on the outside of the cage. Few problems though...taking away real estate from the animal, hard to apply that for existing cages, animals/feeders possibly getting stuck behind the panel, etc. I found the whole concept flawed as it was too intrusive into the cage and that's what everyone is trying to avoid. Maybe has some merit, just needs to be tweaked,

Maybe you could apply a whole mesh shelf above the enclosure on some sort of rail that clips on to a frame,kinda like a cargo rack for a jeep,that way you can also put lights on it if you made it full size of the cage top,it wouldn't take any real estate from the animal,and can be easily removed for maintenance etc.

Here's the video of the first one that I made out of the Zoomed. It uses 2 nozzles. Works fine but longer would be better for a third nozzle. Fits with 10" light dome, but has to be too close to the screen side of the cage.

And here's the second one made out of the mud pan with the 3 nozzles. Not as wide, but this one is the winner. I've got one nozzle faced down, one front, one back. Just enough away from the side to not escape. You can see that the mist follows the sloped sides of the mud pan and does a nice job ov creating a wide area. Still doesn't fit with a 10" light dome, but once I switch to an 8", the extra length is nice.

I agree. Second one seems to give a lot more coverage. Do you clip it to the top somehow or does it just rest on top? Nice job.
