OK guys I just wanted to show it off... it took tons of planning and ideas I got from here. It's finally done what do you guys think? It's 27x24x48" with a drainage system in the stand/base and the home Depot diy mister from a post on here. Today is his first day in it so he is acting a little skittish :/
Patiently waiting for everyone's feedback (I respect you all look forward to any thoughts positive or negative) :)
Sorry for the duplicate pics in advance still trying to figure how to properly post threads apparently lol :D

I love the setup! I am in the process of getting my setup done so thanks for the ideas!

I don't see a basking light but maybe you took it away for the picture?
I have him basking through the window if he wants and my ir temp gun has him reading 86 to 88 while under the arcadia 12% and 6500k daylight bulb purchased from lightyourreptiles.com. he's like 4 months old... those Temps for basking are ideal right? I'm seriously asking cause I was concerned about that too. I have several other bulbs and lamps for him I just have to fight the wife about my wattage consumption... I and I like my life (happy wife happy life) ;) ;P

I am new to chameleons but not new to reptiles so bear with me.

Im under the impression that it is all about creating a temperature gradient. You want warm near the top and cooler as it gets further from the light so it can thermoregulate their body temperature.

I would personally not rely on the window for temperature control due to the variability of the day to day temps. Plus I know how my house is and sometimes things tend to cook when infront of a window.

You have some good points there :) today was his first day in it so I watch him like a hawk and shot him and the enclosure with the temperature gun several times ... I keep my house at 78 degrees during the day, 75 at night and his ceiling fan on high all day... the hottest he got today was 88.7 and the cage ranges from 89 to 90 on his top limb and under the giant pothos it stays a good 76. What do you think is that a good enough variation in temperature through out the enclosere?... I mean I can adjust if it's imperative.

I think it looks great! Plenty of room, only thing I would suggest is just more and larger vines near the top to utilize all the extra room especially as he grows and gets bigger mine spends tons of time up high so I give him lots of basking options up high and at different levels so if hes cold first thing in the morning he can go way up high and get warm but then later in the day he can bask in a slightly lower area at a lower temp. It really does look like an awesome home though good work!

Thanks so much for the feed back i greatly appreciate any and all feedback. I am anticipating the pothos to really explode with in the next month or two so maybe that will take care of what I'm lacking in your opinion (and I do think your right). But until then I can definitely see where he has a huge void on the left side of his cage on the top. I will be taking care of this in the am before I feed him. :D

I especially like how that sock on the floor brings out the whites in the couch!

I would maybe fi d him.some more branches since I see some open areas that could be usable space to him.

Yeah about that lol he is in my daughters room and idk if you have ever had a 10 year old young woman but that sock on the floor is the very least of my concerns with proper husbandry with that one!

Mine's almost 4 and I think I got an idea of the concerns and how bad it will be in 6 years.

Ur kid is lucky she gets the cham in her room, all I got at that age was a goldfish!
I'm trying to raise a little reptile enthusiast as well, as my wife doesn't care much for reptiles so it would be nice to share that passion with my daughter.

Yeah we started off with breeding betta fish and conquered that and decided we (i) can raise a chameleon for her to have until she leaves home... I just signed another 18 year contract 5 months ago lol. Whatever makes them happy bud and trust me if you stay strong and show who is the boss it's pretty easy (just pick your battles like is that sock on your floor more important than fighting you to wear a bra) baby steps my fellow female human raiser.

And if you want a Betts fish omg I can't get rid of enough of the males ugh

OK I took the feedback... and.... well how is this for now.... I know it's not the prettiest but he has ate 32 1/2" crickets today and I just did a little 99 cents upgrade to his access in utilitizing all his space in his cage... Oh and my magnets came in from across the pond today so I was able to set up his thermometer / hydrometers.... better? Let me know if so or Not.. have nothing but time to make it perfect for him and us... I know I know the feeder cup is pretty rigged and ugly but he seems to like it and I have had zero prison brakes(and can't possibly see any in the future). In everyone's experienced opinions please give me feedback on anything I lack or can to to make it better... like I said I got nothing but time till oil prices climbs back up ;)

Then imma gonna be busy lol :D
