So all cuts have been made and now we are coating it. Wife is making all the progress, and she is really happy with it.

Just an update on progress, after some winter weather finally got the poly on. 4 coats later looking good. Started to also throw screen on as well, did a double layer of mesh and than chicken wire.

Coming along nice and looking good, just one thing you might want to consider changing out the screening and hardware cloth for Type 304 Stainless Steel 8x8 Mesh .017" Dia. Wire .108" opening from Universal Wire Cloth Co.or Colorado Wire Cloth. You don't have to use stainless steel, it will cost less to use aluminium or just steel. The 8x8 mesh will allow more light (especially UVB) and better air flow, still keep feeders from escaping (with the exception of fruit flies for babies), and will not harm your chams claws either.

The chicken wire is big enough for him to climb and the screen which is a fiberglass coated screen grey in color is recessed far enough back he won't hit it with his claws. We did the chicken wire because he is already missing a decent amount of claws due to tiny screening. If the screen wears down we will just replace it than, but thank you for the input and I wrote down that kind of screen if we have issues.

The top is actually stainless still mesh.

This is the cage with partial foliage, any ideas for more coverage? Or you think that will be enough coverage?

This isn't the drainage or bottom either

Looking great. I love the plant wall. Like JGuinan007 said, those pothos will take off and cover a lot of the empty space. They grow so fast.

Very nice find, solid idea too. However you may have created an issue you have no experience dealing with. The purpose of these forums is for all of us crazy keepers to be able to come share experiences, or ideas. In no way is this a post to put down the hard work you invested. I have kept Chams or 40 years I should add since we don't know each other.

The issue I am seeing is one that could harm your insect eating pet.

When (not if ) a cricket or feeder gets on to that screen they will be in-between the fine mesh screen and the larger hardware cloth. The cham at some point will take the shot and potentially get their tongue stuck or scraped on the hardware cloth. A double layer system is not used by a majority of keepers for this reason. If you have never dealt with an injured tongue you don't want to start now.

While it is impossible to protect any animal 100%, or kids for that matter, there are some things that can be done. Not using a double layer system is one of them. :)
