New Breeder... Need help

So I have a male Odo Crosses and he is only 7 mo. old but I was thinking about getting a female to breed with him. How old should he be before I consider this? Also can I breed him with any chameleon or should I stick to his breed? Plus this might sound stupid but can both the male and female be in the same cage together? ANy help or suggestions would be great.

I have no idea what an Odo Crosses is...but its not advised to keep more than one chameleon in the same cage (with the odd species exception) after they are 3 months old.

You can breed different morphs of panther chameleon together and most of them (can't say all) and they will produce but its best in most people's opinion to keep the species lines clean (not crossbred). Its possible that some morphs of panther if crossed will produce weak babies...I have no proof though. Chris Anderson might have an answer to that.

A veiled crossed with a panther (two distinct species bred together), for example won't likely produce offspring....and again...any cross breeding muddies the water so to speak.

Your chameleon might be old enough to breed now, but most people advise not to mate the female until she is full grown herself (and in the case of veileds and panthers, for example, not until they are a year old).

BTW..you need to make sure any chameleons you breed are in good health...and you need to quarantine any new chameleons coming into your house for several months minimum before mating them too. (See the article about quarantining here....https://www.chameleonforums.com/quarantine-36078/).

Since you are just starting out with chameleons IMHO you need to learn as much as possible about them before breeding them...because breeding them means that you may end up being responsible for looking after quite a few babies. You also want to know about proper care, especially for the females, so that you don't end up with reproductive issues....eggbinding, etc.

Is Odo one of the nice looking crosses from, chameleonsonly/Kammerflage Kreations and you have one of his male offspring?
In which case you could, if you choose to breed crosses, pick most any female panther (may as well be a cross also, since she'd be cheaper that way). They should both be a year old, of healthy size and weight.
