Hey guys, I recently bought 4 yemens 3 female and 1 male but they is one smaller than the rest that hasn't eaten or drank and is alot less active than the others, any help?

How old are they? If they are tiny hatchlings you may have one that just isn't going to survive. Not all clutchmates make it past 1-2 months of age.

Are they housed together? Separate the one that isn't doing well and make sure it can't see the others. It could be timid and not competing well enough for food, basking heat, water, or is getting bullied by more aggressive chams.

He may just be adjusting to a new habitat so give it a little time. You don't plan on keeping them together right? If your new, I recommend you take a good look at the veiled care sheet, there's a link on the tab at the bottom left.

I only bought them yesterday, I think the smallest is a month old or so, and at the pet shop he said yemens were fine to keep together

No chameleon should be kept together, but the exception is made with very young siblings up to about 2-3 months of age. However, if one isn't doing well or if there are signs of bullying then they have to be separated. So if this little one is a little smaller and weaker than the others I would pull him aside so he can get more access to his own food and water.

And then in a short while all the others will need to be separated as well into their own enclosures.

That is weird I traveled all the way to Manchester to a pet shop know to be very good and the staff told me if I have all females they would fight so I needed a mail,

He told me they live about 2 years as well, I got home and checked the Web and it'd 5-7 years he gave me a lot of wrong information, this site has helped alot

He sounds like someone to avoid in future! Glad you found us! I've never heard some of that cr**p before.

If I knew you had to separate them at an age I would of just got one or two to start off with not 4, I just hope there all in good health

If you aren't up to spend hundreds on feeders, and four cages, four light set ups, I'd try and return two or three.

I'm just shaking my head at these nonsense...I would call them if I were you and tell them,that they shouldn't be allowed to sell chameleons!!!!! I am just a beginner,but this is outrageous.
I am very sorry to say that , because they are wonderful, but to keep 4 chams for the first time is very challenging and expensive. Don't risk their life if you are not sure... But of course I wish you and your chams the best!
You know what? It wouldn't help if you'd complain to the store....Just tell them,they knowledge about chams is wrong.
