I have been itching to get a snake lately. I love snakes, I just can't stand to feed them! Now that they have frozen feeders so readily available I might be convinced. But I think I'll wait until I have kids and then a ball can be their pet to take of.

I've always wanted snakes, but my exes or flatmates were against. And now I don't have space for a big snake

Nice man I didn't know you were in to bp. Man I got some awesome stuff hatching soon killer bees, queen bees , mystic potions ,super pastel , super pastel pied , and super black pastels 100% het for pied and pieds just to name a few . We need to do some trading down the line

I've had one bp for over 10 years who eats nothing but f/t. Being a softie and really liking rats for their personalities it was the only way to handle that. It does make a big difference being able to keep the feeders out of sight/mind in a freezer until needed. IMHO, good snake keepers rely on f/t whenever possible. I don't want my snake chewed up by a panicked rodent and don't want to watch a rodent panic at all. I can dispatch a rodent a lot quicker than a snake if necessary, but I will still pay someone else to do it humanely before I have to get them.

Right. Just ask them to let that beautiful tree boa bite you before you decide to take it home. They have some serious teeth and many have serious attitudes! I think they are gorgeous too but their attitude and hunting behavior keeps reminding me of reality. I've read that cbb Amazon Basin emeralds are a little nicer but it is still luck of the draw and spendy.

I am seriously impressed with the carpets today. Yesterday they bit the living sh$# out of me and struck at everything that moved and today not one strike from one and the other was a bit on edge but did not bite. I know they are aggressive babies but had no idea they would tame down quickly.

Hmmm.... So If one just magically appears at my door, I cant just get rid of him right?

Glad to hear the carpets are behaving themselves! Lol. Snakebites are no fun.

Yeah, feeding is the only problem with snakes. I personally like frozen / thawed prey as well. However, my balls all seem to disagree, as they will only eat live prey. My GTPs eat frozen / thawed no problem.

Mr.Alex sent me some frozen rats earlier this week and i couldnt be happier. They all took a thawed rat within minutes. Didnt even have to warm them up. Just thawed them to room temperature and bamm..

HAHAHA Carol! RACERS CAN GO TO HELL! THEY CAN GO TO HELL AND DIE! I spend quite a bit of time in the woods whether mushroom hunting, hiking, herp'n, following creeks and rivers, making my way back to fishing holes. I have had my share of encounters with racers and every single last one of them can kiss my @#$. I would not kill an animal for no reason but this snake has tempted me many times.

Speaking of the montium...In the past week, there appetites have doubled if not tripled. Havent changed a thing in care, not a single thing. I dont know what has changed with them but i will gladly take the positives.
