So i got a baby vield chameleon today as a birthday present tell me what you think? i may be very smart when it comes to meller chameleons but i know nothing about vields. does it look healthy? and it has a problem on its left front leg where half of it is black, im half hoping its a burn that can heal later but she/he is putting all its weight on it when it walks but uses it to climb. i dont know what to think of it, i think he/she is beautiful tho how can you tell if its a girl or boy?

oh and anyone have a good idea for a name? hehe

Awesome, I actually bought one today also lol anyway to be honest in your pictures(idk if it is the lighting or not) it really seems like her/his eyes are sunken a little bit. Could be the darkness like I said. Anyway on the back of their feet you will see a little bump. That is a tarsal Spur and only Males have them. If he doesn't then it is a she. Anyway where do you get the little one? Looks like he/she is about 3 months old and yes the leg is something to be concerned with. But I mean if it is using it to climb idk what to think really.

ya her eyes are fine its just the lighting ha i didnt wanna use flash she was sleeping, i guess its a girl because i dont see any bumps on the back of her feet. i have two girls then and with the foot im hoping its just a burn ill keep my eye on it for a while, i think it came from petco so thats not a good sign cause petco takes horrible care of there animals but shes so friendly i have a meller chameleon and shes friendly then my meller is now and ive had my meller for a year ha shes a sweet heart everything seems fine but her foot :/ i hope shell get better only time can tell i guess, she seems to not care about it tho.

Yeah like you said I would keep an eye on it. Maybe tomorrow take a better look at her heals to be sure, they are kind of hard to notice if you don't have a good look in the light. Yeah the foot thing sounds weird, hopefully that is so and it can heal quickly. I got my first Veiled from Petco and she is doing fantastic, not a single problem I guess I got her out of there in time lol But yeah I got my little guy today from PetSmart(where I may be hired in the next few days) and he is in great shape. It really depends on the store location because not all of the stores have idiots working in the reptile department. Don't worry she will get pissy soon it all comes with time lol just messing though she may after all just be a cute little cuddle bunny as my girlfriend says ha

haha well i when i got my millers she was pissed for months and was always dark and hated me touching her and woul hiss and get pissed. but this one didnt even show agression and she loves to run around everywhere so im thinking of making her free roamed my miller loves her cage to much and wont leave it. and ya im hoping she will be ok ive only had her for a couple hours and i have already fall in love i just love chameleons! there so cute haha
