Never been these colors again

When we bought our Panther he was 9 months old, and looked like the first picture, he has never since been those colors.. Obviously I know so many things factor into colors and I'm not looking for help or anything, just wondering if anyone else experienced this with theirs. Oh and his lips turned yellow.

He is beautiful either way! Sometimes it's just the way it is and they can completely change where they are unrecognizable.

Adult male panther colors will vary throughout the year in the wild peaking in the breeding season. In captivity they wax and wane randomly.
