I have only purchased Neocalglucon from veterinary clinics. Maybe if you take the prescription to a vet, they would fill it for you. But I really don't know if they can without seeing the chameleon first. I think it just depends on the vet.

Howdy,
The generic version is Calcionate Syrup by Rugby. It's sold in 16oz bottles for about ~$25. I bought a bottle from a local pharmacy. They needed two days to get it delivered. Just for the heck of it, a few years later, I bought another bottle of it at Costco's pharmacy when someone didn't pick-up their special order. If anyone ever needs it, local pickup only, stop by for some here

You can also buy it online. I never needed a prescription for the bottles that I bought.

I found this syrup at otcretail.com for about $16, $24 with shipping. Hope that helps! Oh, my chams and beardie loved it! I like that it comes in a big bottle and they like the taste.
