Lol Camimom I finished my cage today and moved her into it.Now I'm going to Go Lizards to pick her up some crickets to see if she'll eat those since she wont eat her fruit flies. Also if she wont drink does anyone have any suggestions on how to get her to drink or make her drink...?
Yay! post some pics of the new cage and its inhabitant!
and all you can do is provide her with water.
she may not always drink in front of you.
my two veields, i never see drink.
I know they wont drink infront of people but her urate is an orangish color.
ahh yes that is a problem.
How often do you mist?
do you have a dripper?
how long do you mist for?
Do you have access to hornworms?
I mist 2-3 times a day, I have a dripper, I mist for about 1-2 minutes, and with the horn worms I'm not sure.
Yeah, but another thing is, she wont open her eyes to eat.
What the heck dude...I filled all of this out earlier for youYour Chameleon - Veiled, female, aprrox. 8 weeks. I've had her one week and one day.
Handling - I've handled her a few times but unless I need to I leave her alone.
Feeding - Fruit flies. I put in at least 10-15 or more in her cage. I feed her at 6:30 A.M.
Supplements - Repti-Calcium w/o D3 every feeding session and Fluker's Calcium with D3 on the 15th and 30th (I haven't used it yet but that's my planned schedule.
Watering - I use a dripper and I mist her cage. I mist 2-3 times a day for at least 1-2 minutes. No...
Fecal Description - The consistency is normal but the urate is a little orangish I could post pictures if needed. Not to my knowledge.
History - I bought her from a panther and veiled chameleon breeder at the Kansas City reptile show.
Cage Info:
Cage Type - Glass and screen combo, it's an exo-terra. 12 inches by 12 inches (it's a cube. lol)
Lighting - 5.0 13 watt repti-glo UVB. The ligt comes on at 6:30 A.M and go off around 9:00-9:30.

Current Problem - She wont eat or drink and she also keeps her eyes closed during the day.
I don't use a basking bulb I was told that it can harm baby veileds and that they arn't needed.
What the heck dude...I filled all of this out earlier for you. What's up with that lol.
Oh gotcha...I didn't see that. Did you try the fruit flies? What about the drip system? And did you get the temps right?I know Camimom asked me to fill it out again so I did. And I'm just really worried about her not eating or drinking..![]()
