Hey guys my little veiled isn't eating or drinking and I was wondering if any of you could give me any tips to get her to eat and drink.

Your Chameleon - Veiled, female, aprrox. 8 weeks. I've had her one week and one day.
Handling - I've handled her a few times but unless I need to I leave her alone.
Feeding - Fruit flies. I put in at least 10-15 or more in her cage. I feed her at 6:30 A.M.
Supplements - Repti-Calcium w/o D3 every feeding session and Fluker's Calcium with D3 on the 15th and 30th (I haven't used it yet but that's my planned schedule.
Watering - I use a dripper and I mist her cage. I mist 2-3 times a day for at least 1-2 minutes. No...
Fecal Description - The consistency is normal but the urate is a little orangish I could post pictures if needed. Not to my knowledge.
History - I bought her from a panther and veiled chameleon breeder at the Kansas City reptile show.

Cage Info:
Cage Type - Glass and screen combo, it's an exo-terra. 12 inches by 12 inches (it's a cube. lol)
Lighting - 5.0 13 watt repti-glo UVB. The ligt comes on at 6:30 A.M and go off around 9:00-9:30.
Temperature - The cage stays about 75-80. Probably 50-60 but most likely 60. Zoo med tape thermometer.
Humidity - 70-80% Misting, dripper, and the water catcher at the bottom of the tank. ex-terra hygrometer.
Plants - No live plants sadly. :/
Placement - Next to my window. No. About 3 feet.
Location - Kansas U.S.

Current Problem - She wont eat or drink and she also keeps her eyes closed during the day.

Oh and one more thing my room stays about 80 degrees since I have four other lizards in my room not including my chameleon.

Try giving her more variety. Like pinhead crickets.

Don't forget the multivitamin if you're going down this road. But if just get Repashy Calcium Plus you can get rid of all three supplements, except for the calcium w/out d3. I would use Repashy every other feeding, as it is uneccessary to use every feeding, and this way you will let it last longer. Since the Veiled is female, she will need extra calcium to prepare her for her egg laying process. I don't know how you should go about giving her the calcium w/out d3 as I have not worked with females, or have extensive knowledge on how the administration of calcium w/out d3 goes. Check with other members on here that work with female Veileds and they can help you.

The urate should be completely white, so she is not completely hydrated but don't panic. Just find a way to get her to drink more(if the dripper dosn't last all day, make it to where it does, and maybe the same amount of mistings a day, or less to allow for the cage to dry out to prevent bacterial growth, but for a longer period of time, say 4-5 minutes).

She should have temps ranging from 70-80 throughout her cage, and a basking spot of at least low 80s. If you can't get these temps, you should probably get a basking or house bulb and mount a dome fixture over the top of the cage). The temps should not be in the 50-60s during the day at all. I'm not sure if those were night temps, but if they're not then they can't be like that during the day. If they are night temps then they are good as the nightime temp drop helps them.

Humidity - 70-80% Misting, dripper, and the water catcher at the bottom of the tank. ex-terra hygrometer.
Humidity is not bad because the younger ones are more okay with higher humidities, but just be sure that you do allow the cage to dry out from time to time.

Make sure there aren't things that normally come by the window that could stress her out i.e. vehicles, people, cats, dogs, etc.

Once you get everything straightened out she will probably stop keeping her eyes closed. I experienced this problem when my Veiled was young and worked through it and must have got things right when I changed them around because he eventually stopped keeping his eyes closed. You could also be mistaking her for rinsing out her eyes. Does she bulge one out and then suck it back in and seem up swash it around under her eye lid? If not the you have it right at her keeping her eyes closed and it should pass soon after you have everything corrected.

Post Pics Please!!

Okay I'll try to get the pictures up tomorrow. And yes those are night time temperatures. Her normal cage temps during the day are around 75-80. :) Thank you for the help I've been stressing and worrying about her for a few days now and I was really scared that I really hurt her some how or I was doing something terribly wrong. lol...

She might also not be too happy about her cage.
CHams like things that are taller than they are wide.

may want to upgrade her to an all screen cage.

Okay, the exo-terra is just a temporary cage I'm building one now and I'm hoping to ave it done in a few days or so.

I can't find a tape measure so I'm just going to give estimates. It's about three feet tall 2 feet long and a foot and a half wide. (When I get the money I'm going to buy er a large repti-breeze.

then you can def just keep her in a 2x2x3 cage.
thats what my female wil lbe in. once i finish building it.

Lol Yeah. I'm really excited to put her in this cage. I hate that little exo-terra it's just a spare tank I have.

Found my tape measure It's 32" tall 2' long and 1' wide. I wasn't off by much. XP

still pretty good. shell be fine in there.

and yes a powerdrill is nice. i used a nail gun, radial saw, a hammer, nails, and a drill...
