• Your Chameleon - The species, sex, and age of your chameleon. How long has it been in your care? (Veiled,male,20 months)
• Handling - How often do you handle your chameleon? (My 8 year old 3 times a week)He should not be allowed to handle the animal. IMO
• Feeding - What are you feeding your cham? What amount? What is the schedule? How are you gut-loading your feeders? (Crikets every couple of days)It will need to eat more than that.
• Supplements - What brand and type of calcium and vitamin products are you dusting your feeders with and what is the schedule? (Exo-Terra)Look at the package. What kind of supplement is it? Vitamins? Calcium w/o D3? W/ D3?
• Watering - What kind of watering technique do you use? How often and how long to you mist? Do you see your chameleon drinking? (Every couple of days by mist)It needs to be misted a minimum of three times a day. It also needs a dripper running during the day
• Fecal Description - Briefly note colors and consistency from recent droppings. Has this chameleon ever been tested for parasites? (no test and has been dropping regulary)Breifly note the coloration, please.
• History - Any previous information about your cham that might be useful to others when trying to help you. (Just started getting lethargic about 2 days ago and now is not eating and not moving)Probably because its malnurished/dehydrated/has a supplement imbalance. Its impossible to tell without more info
Cage Info:
• Cage Type - Describe your cage (Glass, Screen, Combo?) What are the dimensions? 36x24What kind of cage?
• Lighting - What brand, model, and types of lighting are you using? What is your daily lighting schedule? Zilla lighting What kinds of lights, not just brand
• Temperature - What temp range have you created (cage floor to basking spot)? Lowest overnight temp? 67 in house. How do you measure these temps? We need to know daytime/night time ambient temps, as well as basking spot temps
• Humidity - What are your humidity levels? How are you creating and maintaining these levels? What do you use to measure humidity? Dont I imagine it stays quite low. As stated, they need a misting at least 3 times a day.
• Plants - Are you using live plants? If so, what kind? Fake plants
Real plants will keep up the humidity in the cage, as well as hold more water for drinking.
• Placement - Where is your cage located? Is it near any fans, air vents, or high traffic areas? At what height is the top of the cage relative to your room floor? It is on a table about 2 feet off the floor.
It needs to be as high up as possible.
