Hi guys, I bought some 1/4 inch crickets about a week and a half ago and they grew at an incredible rate they are now to big for my little guy to eat. So now I have to get some more and am thinking about ordering a size smaller and I'm just wondering if this is a good idea or not.

How old is your chameleon? I always order my crickets a little smaller so they will last longer. I have adult chams and I get 1000 3/4 inch and they last me about 3 weeks.

If you have a veiled he should be able to eat 1/4 if he's really 3 months old. Panthers are smaller and sometime they are younger than you are told when you buy them.

He is a panther and can handle 1/4 crickets just fine but they have grown to maybe 3/8 some even to 1/2 and he just looks at them he seems to dislike them a lot so i ran to the store today picked up some more 1/4 and he ate them fast, I am looking at ordering some more crickets for him and trying to decide if i should order a size smaller.

I would definitely get a size smaller.
