I started keeping chameleons in the mid 80's..,the dark ages for chameleon keeping....no cages that were suitable...crappy UVB lights...awful supplements...etc. It was a steep curve. Unfortunately some suffered from my lack of knowledge....but I got quite a bit right by accident and reasoning.

I kept a couple Jackson’s back in the mid 90s. There were no reptile vets here and very little info and they did suffer from my lack of knowledge. Neither survived. I did the best I could and it broke my heart and I swore I’d never have another but here I am, only because my Jackson’s was sitting in dirt in a petco aquarium when I saw him! I had to save him!!

First vet I had wouldn't even touch the lizard....couldn't tell if it was a male or female. Second vet said he had to consult with another vet and would get back to me...he never did. Third vet had only ever treated 2 chameleons before mine but had a real interest in the chameleons and we learned together. It was a long reptile relationship! Was always so glad that someone led me to that vet.

We're getting off track though...@BcReptiles please answer the questions in the how to ask for help thread near the top of the health forum so we can check your husbandry for you.

Thank you for your advice much appreciated I'm not sure where to find how to ask for help tread but I will give you pics of her cage and some info I have a custom cage that I built.

I'm running a retisun 5.0 t5 I run a fogger during the night on half hour cycles half hour on half hour off with a misting king with 4 2 minute sprays all the plants are live

Since you do have a female, I am going to include this video that talks about the egg laying process since she will lay infertile eggs even if she has never been with a male.
