So I'm turning an old hutch into a cage and I'm having issues with where to put the uvb and grow light. I took the top off this thing lowered it down 7". That way when you're looking at it from the from the lights and timers and hidden.

That large round hole is where my basking bulb and dome fitting will be. The basking bulb will be mounted on top where so nothing can get to it from the inside. Where I'm having heart burn is the two 18" long florsecent fixture fixtures. You guys say to put them ontop of your screen cage so the cham can't get to it but screen blocks uvb rays, not as much as plastic or glass but it still blocks som uvb. The top of mine is wood so I really wanted to mount mine inside the enclosure so as to not black any uvb. Since the sides and top are wood the cham can't climb the side and get hurt by my lights but I don't want mist from my mist king getting on them. What do I do???

There's a bee of the front. The top piece of wood was flush with the top of that trim which is why I dropped the lid down a few inches, to hide everything.

So here's another view from the top. The large circle is where the basking will be. The smaller 1" holes are just ventaltion. I drew a 4" wide by 16" long rectangle to show where the lights would be. I think I won't have much choice but to cut it out, screen it and put the lights on top like the basking. The screen will block some uvb but the screen will also stop the mist from jacking up my fixtures. Let me know if I'm wrong in my thinking
