Chameleon Info:

Your Chameleon - Male Veiled Chameleon. About 8 months old.
Handling - Just when I move him outside.
Feeding - Crickets about 5 large per day and an occasional super worm. I powder the crickets with calcium.
Supplements - Calcium powder and the crickets are fed Fluckers high calcium diet.
Watering - Mist 3-4 times per day and an occasional dripper about 3 times per week for about an hour.
Fecal Description - good looking poop. formed brown and some white.
History - I got him at petsmart about five months ago. I felt bad for him because he was in such a small cage.

Cage Info:

Cage Type - New cage. 3 feet tall 2 feet wide. All screen. Picture attached.
Lighting - 13W eco terra uvb 100. 100W heat lamp eko terra. 150W infrared heat Lamp. All are on during the day and off at night. I have him on a 12 hour schedule now.
Temperature - This is my issue. I can not keep the temperature consistent. It really varies with the weather outside. One day his basking temp will be 95-100 the middle of the cage will be 80-85. And bottom of the cage will be 70. But today I looked around 1100am and the basking was only 80. I don't understand and I am getting frustrated. I have 3 thermometers an electronic one at the basking level.
Humidity - Humidity gauge in the upper middle of enclosure,50%-60%.
Plants - Live Pothos. one magnetic fake plant. Some vines. One real stick.
Placement - Living room. Not high traffic.
Location - Georgia

Current Problem - My problem is the temperature. Am I doing something wrong. At times he seems cold and unhappy. He is still eating and looks healthy. I just want a more consistent temperature.

it may be too cold in the house for the amount of heat he/she is getting from the lights. try using a tarp, or shower curtain covering 2 or 3 parts of the enclosure to help keep the heat in alittle more.

You shouldnt need a 150watt bulb. thats why. I use one because i have a bigger cham and cage, my branches aLSO HANG DOWN FARTHER. IT DEPENDS ON A LOT OF THINGS.
