Hey guys, like the title states. I'm looking for profiles to join pieces of glass together. More specific are the ones used on those AllGlassAquarium terrarium conversion kits for the front door. It's like a plastic/ABS hinged profile that you can slide a piece of glass to seat snugly.
I am planning to vertically extend one of my cages about 8" with glass hinged with these profiles at 90* in all 4 corners to make a "box" shaped glass sleeve.
Like this.
But I'd like to avoid having to silicone the glass like you would on a aquarium. instead I'd like to use these profiles to make the "box" shape i need. The glass "box" will seat on the inside frame of the top of the cage.
Thanks in advance. I'm also up for other suggestions.
This will be an open top cage, since the Chams can't climb glass, it will act as a barrier keeping them in the lower 75% of the tank. My concern was getting lighting through the top of the cage ( this cage has some really dark/thick screen material).. An open top would solve this.
Thanks in advance.
