Can't seem to find this info though I'm sure it's on this site (haven't been on for awhile and I'm rusty!). What is the optimal basking temp range for a male veiled chameleon?
Need basking review.

85-90f. Colder for females.
Currently recommended to keep them in a basking of 80-85 max.
Females should be kept 78-80max at basking.

Daytime: 72 – 78°F
The recommendation of 85°F here is to reflect that I want to see more repeating of the successes with no issues before 80°F becomes part of the care summary. An 80°F basking site has produced excellent results so far.This is a very narrow window. At that point its almost going to be a standard bulb(non flood) that is just dangled near the cage to create a 1 foot wide hot pocket that is only 5-10f hotter than the rest of the cage. On the other hand the plants would love it...
