...... in the right direction.
i have been looking into getting a pair of panther chams for a good few months now, bought books, read care sheets, asked questions.
i have never had a chameleon before but i have got other reps (leos and gargoyle geckos).
now, i have got my heart set on panthers but the other day when i was in the shop buying my live food i saw this wee baby boy (veiled cham) and i can't get him out of my head, my 5 year old niece kept saying "he's waving at us, we need to buy". so now i am think it may be better to start with one chameleon to introduce me into keeping chams instead of spending £300 on a pair of panthers. also i am getting a reptile house built in the back garden beginning of summer so i will have more room.
sooooo what would you do, would you go with your original plan as that's what you have your heart set on or would you go with slow introduction and get panther's once you have a wee bit more experience.
please help i know what i should do but i think i need a wee push

Go with your heart :p You don't have to buy a pair just get one to start with. Good luck with what ever you decide.

PUSH PUSH PUSH PUSH - hows that for a wee push

I'll make it easy for you. The only ones who have a hard time with chameleons are the ones that get the wrong info.

If its hard = Bad Info

You have done your home work , researched and got all the info you could. You are on this forum. So I say Good work and time for a reward.

GET THE PANTHERS! no need to start with a veiled just to work into it. You are already on the right track and I see you as being very successful .

So MAKE sure you post some pics when you get your pair.

i'd start with one just to get the feel for the schedualed maintainence and all... you can always get another down the road.

Whatever you decide, it won't be your only chameleon if your anything like me. It all starts with one veiled, and before you know it, you will have 5 or 6 veileds and 4 or 5 panthers...at least that's what happened to me. Good luck and enjoy the cham experience!

to tell you the truth i think i am going to get them all. i will get the wee veiled one just now and then if everything is ok i will get my panthers in the spring.:D
