neat dubia observation

I just watched three females give birth at the same time. Each female gave birth in the exact same pocket in the egg crate, and a 4th female guarded the babies while their exos hardened! How neat is that?

Now that is pretty freakin' cool. I have not yet observed any of my females giving birth and is something I have been wanting to do. I have watched one of them molt, really cool.

Woah! That looks INSANE I guess it doesn't help that they hide and clump themselves up in the little pockets BUT I have seen them I guess protect their babies.

Mine never give birth when I am watching. I leave my room to get a drink and by the time I come back they are already out. I'm thinking about puting a time lapse camera or 2 into my colony to try to capture a birth (and mating). But I have to get the female chameleon spy camera setup first (so I don't have to disturb her when they are laying is laying.

I hardly ever see my roaches give birth. The coolest birth I've seen was from my B. fusca. The girl popped out like 50-60 babies in a matter of minutes. If I see another one give birth I'll take pictures/videos with my phone. I didn't have it with me today so I couldn't capture it.
