My Veileds been showing his "po'd" colors..

The past day or so, my male veiled almost constantly has been a little darker than normal and black spots all over him. I haven't changed anything recently. Wondering if anyone has any ideas as to what this may be.

The only one thing I was thinking is maybe he wants a little hotter basking spot. Right now its about 82 degrees. Its a 40w bulb. Im thinking maybe as he has gotten a little older maybe the temps need to be increased.

Hes been walking around and active. And hes not that color ALL the time, he does go back to a nice light green once in a while.

Any ideas?

Maybe remove any mirrors visible to him or put curtains or blinds over a window near him as any reflection may cause some stress and/or anger

There is nothing that is giving him a reflection

How old is he.he could be darkening to absorb more heat.is he flattening himself out near the basking bulb.mine does the same thing on a cold day.I would think 82 a bit on the low side.I keep my 8 month old at 90-95 for basking

Sometimes he flattens, sometimes he doesnt. I think Ill get a 60w bulb tomorrow and put that in, see if anything changes. Thanks
