My Trip to Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Well, some of you know that I was out of this crappy state of South Dakota and went down to Colorado to visit my older brother. The scenery is something you would think was fake when you first enter into Denver/Colorado Springs area. It's the most amazing thing I have ever seen. Going up Pike's Peak was a blast, even though it snowed on the top of the Rockies the night before, we got up to about 11 miles out of the 14. I am definitely going to return there someday, if not live there. I have already talked it over with my mom and she agreed to let me go down for the next summer and attend my senior year of high school there next year, if my brother approves.

Here are some of the pictures that I did take. They are in attachments, just because I am lazy and don't want to put them on PhotoBucket. :p

Sounds amazing and makes me want to go there even more! Right now the goal is actually to move straight to Colorado Springs after I graduate in May! I've been planning it for a while and have been monitoring the weather to compare to this hell hole. It's just sounds better and better the more I look into it! Glad you had a great trip, maybe we'll be able to meet up one day when we both live there. ;)

Beautiful pictures.........of a beautiful place. Those "quakies" sure make me long for another trip west. I can honestly say that I have never felt as small and insignificant as I did when I stood out in the middle of nowhere, with nothing around me but trees, rocks and dirt......and even a little snow didn't hurt either.

ferretinmyshoes, that would be amazing! That is the only place that I find snow exceptional. It snowed for the first time this year when I was there. More like tiny beads/pellets rather than snow. It was gorgeous. I can understand why people love it there in the winter time. I also love to ski so that might be why also haha! I can't wait for summer to come. I will be flying there and having my things shipped. Only a $274 round trip! ;D I can't wait to graduate either. What college are you going to? I am looking into UCCS right now Gorgeous place. I love waking up and seeing the mountains from my brothers house! :p

I also found a sign going up Pikes Peak that was warning people about Big Foot. ha!

I miss living in the springs did you go to manitoua springs thats a nice little town on the way to garden of the gods!!! I also love the fact they have two hooters there and like 20 gamestops so when you do a midnight release and don't mind waiting in the cold you can go to one of the stores at one of the outlets malls and get there by 1150 at night and only wait a few minutes to pick up your game!!!

p.s. gold camp road is an awesome place with hundreds of hiking trails off the sides of the road also cave of the winds is pretty bomb diggity!!!

I totally remember that sign!! I'm in vet school at A&M. SO excited to almost be done! Living in a tiny Texas college town for 8 years (4 undergrad + 4 vet school) is definitely way too long. So ready to live somewhere else, especially somewhere where I can hike mountains half the year and then fly down the slopes the other half! :D

We did get a chance to go through Manitou Springs. It was really neat. Very tiny roads, but the buildings where amazing!

Looks like a beautiful place. I'm glad that you had fun. How's Delilah doing? Has she had the surgery?

No she hasn't. She is scheduled to have surgery within a few weeks. Thanks for asking. I might be pushing her surgery date up just so it doesn't become worse.

There us this mexican joint there in mabitoa spring u need to check out next time you go they got these big azz burritos that are bomb yo!!! We went to across the boarder. It was okay, but not as good as Qdoba's. :3

I talked with my brother last night and he wants me to moved down there for my summer and senior year. :3 Better than Wisconsin for sure. Like a better beginning. Better chances too!
