I have a two year old Panther chameleon. she was doing fine yesterday morning she we eating and drinking then around 2:00 my daughter went down to check on her and found he hanging by the back feet and tail so she picked her up and put her back on the branches. Then around 11:00 we went down and found her on the bottom of the cage. When I picked her up she was very non responsive. but she was still breathing her eyes looked a little sunken in so I started to force her to drink some pedialyte every hour by 3:00am she started to get mad at me making her drink but she still won’t open her eyes and did not move much. Can anyone help me please or has had the same thing happen. I hate seeing her like this and want to make her better.
I do gut load my crickets before feeding her also I dust them every other day. She has an auto mister and a humidifier. The cage is at 80’ and the basking area is at 90’ she has an umbrella plant no bedding in a screen cage.
:(

Please take her to the vets. She needs a good reptile vet with chameleon experience ASAP. If you do not already have a vet tell me where you live and I might be able to recommend one.

IMHO this chameleon needs to see some good reptile vet ASAP.

Please post a recent photo of her and answer the questions in the how to ask for help thread at the top of the health forum in the meantime.

Has she ever produced eggs? Does she have a place in her cage where she can dig to show you when she needs to lay eggs?

Be very careful giving water/fluids when a chameleon isn't well that you don't get any in her lungs.

What do you feed/gutload the insects with?
What specific supplements do you use and how often for each?
Does she have UVB light?

I have an phone call from a vet but the only vet that works with chameleon is 4 hours away. I am not sure if she has ever produced eggs I will go get some sand for her today. but her belly is not big at all.
I gut load them with Rapashy Gutload the crickets and Rapashy super food calcium every other day. yes she has a Zoo Med Repti Sun 5.0 High Output UVB Fluorescent Bulb light and a 60wt blue day light. they are on from 7:00 am to 7:00 Pm I have a misting system that goes off every hour for 15 sec and that starts at 7:00am to 7:00 pm and I also mist her cage and I do see her drink.
