Doodlebug finally fired up in all his glory today. This is literally the first time I have ever seen him fire up in almost 2 years. He is the son of El Lobo from Chameleons only.

Wow he looks remarkably similar to El Lobo. The only differences I can see off hand are that he has more green than black. I love the vibrant yellow and the bright greens. He's gorgeous.

He looks great! Now I really can't wait for mine to fire up too. I guess it will be about a year or so yet since he's only 10 weeks old now! I actually almost went with an El Lobo offspring too, but finally decided on Poncho in the end. I love the yellow and green colors! :D

My boy, Ranobe, just turned a year old - He is an El Lobo baby too, but your boy is stunning!!! Ranobe has a ways to go yet, but I am hoping for more Yellows!!

Yeah, I was surprised at just how long it has taken him to fire up (almost 2 years). I have to admit that I intentionally have let him see other males and females to try to get him to fire. With the females though he has a different coloration altogether. He shows a dark green body with burgandy bands and some orange and yellow in the face. You can see the color variations in my photo albums.

Yeah, I wonder about the slow onset of colors in these guys. Does anyone know if coloration in Sambavas are slower than other locals or is that not a factor?
