Obviously I don't think it is good, but maybe this is their escape behavior. We had a very hot temps in SoCal this week, it was 106 degrees in my area. My cham has ficus in the cage. The cage is in the pool house where sometime it gets warmer than usual. Today I took him inside and placed him on Schefflera. In the evening I wanted to put him back in the cage, but he was already sleeping. I did not want to wake him up so I picked up the plant to carry it to the cage. All of a sudden he woke up and jumped. He landed on his belly. I picked him up and placed him in the cage. He look alert and was climbing the walls, but did not wanted to get on the plant. He did not get dark and did not looked like he was injured. I turned off the lights in the pool hose thinking he will get calm and go back to sleep. About 30 min later I returned to check on him and he still was climbing on the cage walls.
Hopefully he'll calm down soon.
