My One Year old swallowed a Stick

My Chameleon swallowed a stick and won't close his mouth and has his tounge sticking out it can't go back in.......Help?!?!
The stick was like this long:

Can you look in his mouth and see if you can get the stick

Call a vet ASAP if you can't get him to one right away. You might be able to get it out but I sure don't know how.

Thanks for help but the vet isn't in and we can't see past his tongue to get it out.....

The Emergency vet can't do lizards! AHHHHHHHHHHHHhhH
I really can't do anything till the morning......At least he is keeping his cool he isn't black anymore...
