Hey guys,

Long time prowler, first time poster. Some pics of my 8 mo old panther chameleon, Sir William :). When I got him as a baby the reptile shop did not have his bloodline documentation as requested so unfortunatley I don't really know his genetics. I'm suspect hes majority Nosy be with Ambanja x Ambilobe but it's just a guess. I have seen very similar morphs on the forums so maybe you guys can help :D

maybe sambava with that you bar, and somewhat orangey throat. but im taking a real guess...

its real hard to tell with the crosses if you dont know what the blood line is then it makes it hard to tell what is going on but he is cute and is showing some good color and if your not trying to breed what dose it matter anyway

The reason I asked was because I was interested in breeding and found a local Sambava female that I am going to be getting soon :)

well as long as you tell the guys the buy the babys that you have no clue what he is no one should get mad at you thats where the problom is when pepole just say "yeah its a pink or sure its a nosy be than everyons on the wrong page

Ya, there's no way to know for sure. If you breed you'll just have to say its of unknown lineage. Certainly if you breed him with a sambava female you should be clear the offspring are hybrid mutts (and there's nothing wrong with that, so long as the buyer knows it)

p.s. keep posting

Ya i am well aware the offspring will be mutts..but i have yet to come across an ugly lookin panther morph :D. More doing it for hobby and such than profit

Looks ambilobeish,.... Sang could be right about the possiblity of sambava as well...It is almost impossible to tell exactly what a mix is with out knowing the lineage.. Good looking cham though!

I say Nosy x Ambilobe. Crosses can be really cool. Like was said just make sure every one you sell to knows that it is a cross, and knows that if they should sell the cham or it's offspring to disclose the same and so on.

Thanks all for the comments :)

I decided to pick up a ChameleonCo. Ambilobe female instead of the sambava. I'm hopin for some good lookin offspring :D
