Hello everyone, after much reading and more reading I think my encloser is ready...well maybe some grow out.:)
I have live plants, homemade mister, wrapped in black pastic to help with humidity.
Right now I have temps at 92 @ top, 81 @ middle and 64 @ the bottom. Humidity right now at 65%. I have ordered a digital timer for my misting system, for now I just do it by hand. Trying to get my plants growing.
Some pictures...I hope???:confused::confused:
Please let me know what I need help with.

Looks good so far!!! Loose the plastic bags as soon as you get your chameleon. They benefit with cross ventilation.

Got a dripper? and how will you collect water in your cage? Every ones got a different way!

As said in an earlier post, what chameleon will you be getting and from where?

How big is your cage?

The plastic bags are fine... A heat lamp will draw air from the entire front of the cage. If he isnt having problems holding humidity without them thats fine.

The cage is 18x18x36, the plastic is up because I could not keep the humidity above 15 to 20 %, I read to wrap 3 sides in plastic to help this.
When I know things are right to order a chameleon, I have been talking with lance.
I guess it will depend on whats around when I am ready.
I have still not even begun to try feeders, still have that to master.:)

I think it looks good.
Personally I would pack more vines/branches in there.
Especially if you get a baby:)
Just to make commuting easier for him.
But like I said, it looks good:)

I am hopeing that the pothoes start growing and I can weave them up some, but if everything else works out I can add some more. the ones that are in there are out of my yard so it would not be hard to do.
Thanks Solid snake for the info.

Wow from your video I can see I need more vines I will work on that tomorrow. Like I said I want things right before I get a chameleon. I don't want to say ok I have one now what???
Thanks for the help

WOW I salute your cage!

No problem.
If you want to see my jackson's cage:

Maybe it will give you ideas.
Pothos grows wicked fast, especially with a plant light:)

WOW amazing! Best looking Chameleon setup I have seen in a while!

Have a still shot of how you secured the pothos (devils ivy in the inside of the cage? I saw the screw eyes in the corners just not so much the center where the plant is fastened to.

I have been wanting to dangle a pot inside my cage w/o making a hole in the screen.

Well, thats setup for a jacksons, and its gone through lots of transformations since shes been in it. She seems to really like the way it is now. For a different type of chameleon, I would do things slightly different.
I think its great your getting prepared before hand. When I got my first(the chameleon in the vid) I knew nothing, and set her up horrible:(
If thats the first cage youve setup, great job!

Thanks, Im glad you like it. The entire cage is setup around that pothos.
If you look close, you can see the third anchor, dead center in the back.
Yes that was pretty cool, I need to look into this more:)

You will see how the cham behaves when it gets there, what it likes what it doesnt, and mix that with what it needs as you go.
My other video in my channel shows the entire room, with the free range if yall are interested.
I keep the panther much differently than the jackson.

@Solid Snake, Thanks I see the 3ed hook. Imagine you have another hook holdng the actual plant around the rim of the pot or on the base? What line or rope did u use? Clothes line? Looks like a stretchy material. Surprised the cage can support that huge pothos! Great job. Also supprized that your arbacola plant is doing so well. I tend get mine over watered because of my misting system going off a lot for he rest of the cage.

Yes this is the first for me. I have had fish for years, but I wanted to diversify just a little. I thought about poision dart frogs, but I could not do the fruit fly's...sorry
So after looking around and seeing the great colors of Panther Chameleons, I thought I can do them....So here I am.
But I want to do things right.
