I am not sure how much reading you have done on Chams but they can be pricey and tricky to get started right. Read lots of forums n care sheets to be ready. I will list a few things to think about.
1. Cage- should be mesh screen, in a good location in the house. Has to be right size also. 24x24x48 for adults.
2. If Fran is a female you will have to learn in time how to handle her eggs and make her a laying bin. If its Male, watch out they can bite and be nasty, dont plan on handling it a lot.
3. You HAVE to feed it vitamins and supplements! Calcium, Calcium with d3 and another multi vitamin called Reptivate. But you have to learn proper dose for baby, gravid females and males.
4. Also they eat crickets but cant only eat crickets most of the time. Their diet must be switched up, there are various types of worms. Babies can eat up to like 10 crickets a day.
5. Make sure you have a good automated mister or a good dripper to mix with hand spraying.
6. Decore is up to you. I say use some bendy fake vines, real plants from Home Depot or Lowes, You can use real sticks but must treat them first to kill bugs in them.
7. Cage should have good drainage because lots of water will be flowing through the cage.
This might be over kill and you might know most of this but I thought I would help out anyways just in case you forgot some details to prep for. Good luck with your baby. I have been studying and getting ready for my Cham for about 4 months now. I am getting 2 after the 4th of July. Cant wait!
