We got her from FL chams soon after Esme's passing we didn't ask for a specific veiled just a female veiled and on the box it said W/C on the top i guess it means she was wild caught? anyways she has been mostly brown not the realy cool green Esme was we have her in my diy cage Esme was in 5.0 uvb basking spot and all daily mistings she wont eat a darn thing and she sleeps alot shes about a month old and she will close her eyes but the eyes move when they are closed? and she tries to reach for objects that arent there can you tell if a cham is blind? idk its just hard for me to have to deal with all of this her not eating sleeping alot etc.

Also she is very clumsy and will fall idk what to do

She looks healthy to me, the arms and legs make good 90 deg angles and eyes aren't sunken. She could be really stressed, so give her everything she needs and monitor without disturbing. How long have you had her? and do you handle often?

I doubt any veileds you get from FL Chams are wildcaught, especially juveniles! The box may just have an old label. First, call FL Chams to check how they kept and fed her. Check the forum sticky messages on basic chameleon care and search for the thread "Raising Kitty the Veiled Chameleon" and check your husbandry thoroughly. There's got to be a reason for this as FL would not sell you a sick animal. Describe your setup in detail by answering the questions listed under How to Ask for Help. You just lost a cham now this one may be in trouble. There's got to be a connection. I really doubt she's blind.

What brand and type of UVB light do you use?
What's the basking temperature?
Did you put this one in the same cage Esme was in?

I just looked at some of your other threads and noticed that you use a substrate in your cage....I don't recommend using them with most species of chameleon.

i did a DIY cage you can find those posts too somewhere Mike tyold us she was fed free range so right now we have her in Esmes old setup with just a UVB right now to see if she will eat with paper towels on the bottom with fake foliage

Did you do a through cleaning on the cage before you put her in it? Is the UVB a tube style bulb? It is a new bulb? Do you have it sitting right on the top of the cage? Sometimes the new UVB bulbs are strong and bother their eyes.

To be honest she doesn't look healthy to me. Did you receive her looking like that? Have you contacted the breeder?
