My Friend has Carpet Eggs!

Alright, my friend just recently acquired some carpet eggs..

I want to help her get as many of these eggs to hatch! :)

The story is her friend has the cham, had them on perlite with fertilizers so she wanted to save the eggs.. I want to make sure she's doing everything right, and any information on babies would be beneficial to her as well. :)

Here is the info..

"Delicup with no holes, on Hatchrite, in the bedroom which is the quietestroom in the house and also the most temp stable, I keep it at around 70-73 degrees in there always.

I have 10 carpet Cham eggs, laid April 20th, I got them on the 21st."

edit: "Oh, parent Chams were Wild caught, and the
mum died shortly after laying the eggs."

I want one!!!!!:D Seriously though let me know if she's gonna be selling any, I've been wanting a carpet for a while. Good luck with them!!

Lol she's local but not that local - but I'm sure she wouldn't mind shipping one. :p

I currently incubate my carpet eggs at a constant 68F. Although 70-73 is fine and should work. Sit back and relax. If all goes well in 6-12 months. The later probably being more realistic. Your friend will have some carpet babies.

Good luck , carpets are great. I really enjoy mine.

This thread has some good info in it.

Thank you Ryan, I will be sure to point her to that thread and give her the temp you use. 6-12 months, dang. :)

I hav 17 Eggs incubating

Hey Syn!

I currently have 17 Carpet Eggs incubating there sitting at room temp. 72lowest and 78 highest. I have them in vermiculite substrate with a cover that has no holes. So far so good! There going on month 4 of incubation and have not had any issues! Now I'm just waiting for them to hatch!! :)

I have ten eggs incubating and am following the directions from the link, including the diapause phase. Same as everyone else here, vermiculite, right now in the low 70's and just sitting around and waiting for the buggers to hatch.
