Hi,

I recently bought a blue bar Ambilobe panther from a private owner. He is about 1 year of age(not completely specified) and has some really nice colours. I just ordered a mistking starter kit with a timer and zip-drip valve. Here he is and his setup, please tell if I'm doing anything wrong.

Looks good. What kind of lights are you using? What kind of plants?

Hi Syn,

I'm using a repti-glo 5.0 linear tube, but I am wanting to switch to a repti-sun 5.0 in a month or two. As for the plants, a dracaena and a ficus.

Alright! May want to get more real plants to keep humidity up (if you are having a problem with that), and it may be worthwhile to start saving up for LLL's metal cage.. the reptariums are great and all but just don't hold up in the long run, unfortunately. But it will work for you for the time being.

Now that I think about it you may be better off getting a 10.0 Reptisun, because the thick "mesh" on those reptariums can block out more UV than you would think.

i agree with syn reptariums need 10.0 because of how much that thick screen blocks out. make sure your supplementing calcium without d3 5 times a week. calcium with d3 every 2 weeks, and a multivitamin once a month.

Thanks, I'll keep it in mind. The flexarium actually came with the chamleoen, and I don't really like them. I already am saving for a 2'x2x4' aluminum screen cage, from someone I know in New Jersey, screencages.net, or lllreptile. I've been thinking about getting a larger ficus or large bromiliad. Thanks,

-Daniel
