I was about to say the flytrap's tiny hairs to be very triggered twice. Anyway I do have house geckos in my apartment. If I see one in my room, I would know for sure that escapees are in my room. I also have small daddy long legs here, I even seen them take out red runners 10 times bigger than themselves.
Actually I tried the same scientific experiment you did, except I used my pitcher plant. I wanted to see the maximum size limit it can consume. I named the experiment "so do you think you can eat?".
