thats a fun setup, you just wait, thats how it starts, then it just gets bigger and bigger, and before you know it, theres a jungle in your living room.

I thought I put the lights high enough but I guess not, I was worried he might get burned. I raised them so he can't reach them but concerned he won't get enough heat from them now. Any Suggestions on what to do? Going to go get a temp meter to put on the top of the enclosure. Here are the pics of him on the lights. http://s1177.photobucket.com/albums/x345/JimR1957/

Very nice! Your cham is going to love you! What are the 2 lights that your are using now? I never use a 100 watt basking bulb even om my adult male male.....he has a 60 watt. We hang the lights from the ceiling and then run the cords over to the wall and secure them to the wall so the chams can not climb them.

That looks great, I need to get a free-range setup just like that in my bedroom ......that'll give me a free wardrobe to keep a Jacksons in........what are you doing with your spare cage, lol?

From my experiences on a near identical setup I can share with you the following....
-I had the exact same issue with the heat bulb. You ABSOLUTELY should have a point and shoot temp gun ($20 online). They work wonders.
-I ended up hanging my heat bulb and uvb bulb SIDEWAYS off my blinds (both my lights point horizontally, not vertically). This way I can keep them close enough to the leaves/cham but still far enough away so that he cant lunge the gap and climb the light (he used to try it at first, I had to slowly move it further and further away until the distance was just enough that he stopped trying). There is a fair bit of trial and error involved
-I have found a growing problem as Clark has been getting bigger....at first he had little to no desire of leaving his free range (it was sufficiently bigger than him to satisfy him). Depending on the age of your cham, you might find he will climb down frequently....I have not yet found a good solution to this other than adding more and more to his free-range.
As long as the free-range is sufficiently big for the cham, he won't leave it. But otherwise, curiosity will get the better of them eventually, so do be careful

I am looking at your fr and your chammie looks very happy!
If at some point you replaced the wire plant hangers with a thicker mesh kinda material you would give him even more roaming room without adding anything to it.
I love looking at fr, mine looks kinda....hmmm...needs more!
