hi i have a veiled chameleon she is no older than a year, we rescued her as her owner didnt give her the time of day, we recently went on holiday and had my family memeber feed her and get her out, after a few days she stopped eating and wouldnt move that much so my brother took her home and put her in with his 2 water dragons, a male and a female, whom are very calm and they didnt touch her. when we got back we got told she stopped eating and went a very light green, we built her a bigger tank of which she is now back with us, but still not eating and yesterday laid 8 eggs! she is staying by the eggs and just laying there. ive got quite attatched, what do i do? do i remove the eggs?and is it possible the male water dragon couldve got her pregnant?? or is it false eggs???please help guys!!!

Welcome to the forums. I am sorry to hear about you female. I'm sure she was very stress to have to be in an enclosure with other reptiles. If she only laid 8 eggs then she probably has more to lay. Do you have a laying bin for her? I'm attaching a couple of my blogs for you below. The first is about the laying bin and egg laying and ther second is about general care.

If she didn't lay all her eggs (which is quite likely) she needs to do it or she will become eggbound and could die. You need to put an appropriate (opaque) container (minimum size 12" deep x 12" x 8") of washed playsand in her cage right away and hope she still has the strength to lay them. If she doesn't in the next day or so she will need to see a vet to give her oxytocin to make her lay the eggs.
