my enclosure

Walmart sells one that measures temp at the unit and a probe and humidity at the unit for somewhere around $13.

This is an awesome post and should be a sticky. However can you tell me what the average wattage and manufacturer is of the UVA source listed?

UVA? you mean for the heat?
Just a normal house yellow bulb that you can find at your local store.
wattage depends on your local weather.
I.e: I live in a hot climate of California.
So, 50 - 75 watt bulb is hot enough to reach the ideal temp for my chameleon.

OMG, i am tromatised...
I have the exact same as the third picture..
should i return the bulb? it cost me over 25$ just for the bulb..
could it do much of a dammage if i keep it a little wild?
I still hope my heating lamp is good...

Thank you verry much you advice is verry helpfull to me,i hope i can keep up with my little creature!

glad that I can help.
Yes, no compact UVB. Return the reptiglo compact.

as for the UVA bulb (heating lamp/ Basking bulb), what you have is fine..
but, it's basically nothing more than a fancy looking housebulb.

For a fraction of a cost, why not just get a normal house bulb since it basically does the exact same effect, right? :)
