Hey I live in the DC area. as you know were are getting over 2 feet of snow (NO SCHOOL TOMORROW!!!!) The power outages are likely around DC... what should I do with my chams? Will they have to suck it up and deal with it?

Maybe cover there cages in blankets and don't open them at all so you don't release any heat. If you have an upstairs where it may be warmer might help but as long as you keep your doors shut and try not to let any cold air you should be fine.

I live in VA, and I'm expecting my power to go out. I'm not sure if this is a thing in DC, but here we have gas-lit stoves. In the even that the power decides not to be a thing anymore, I'm going to boil water and put it into a water bottle and let my panther have an impromptu cuddle sesh. If that's not a thing you can do, I would just get handwarmers from like, Walmart or something, and put your little (or not so little) guy in a box with them.

I live in MD and i'm not worried about it personally. I have my Jacksons in our basement, where the temps barely gets above 70 degrees and he seems to love it being cool. At night the temp drops into the low 60's. If the power goes out, then fine. So long as it doesn't stay out for more than a few days. I'm going to the store tomorrow to get some crickets (i free range) as i'm sure things will be closed well into next week….

Yea I was gonna suggest heat packs wrapped in a small towel with the cage covered in a blanket to hold the warmth in.
