Chameleons generally are. Dont expect to train your Cham to be nice, cant do it. If you get a friendly one then you are lucky! I never tried raising from a baby yet. Im gonna try that and see if i get an early bond and see if it makes a difference.

He's just over 6 months and had him for about a month. yeah i do hand feed him. he was fine when we first got him. happy to come out etc. now he hates me!

try getting a large plant, open the cage door, set the plant in front of the door and see if he will venture out onto the plant. It is possible you may be able to approach him more easily out of the cage than in. You can always use a glove if you are afraid he is going to bite. Do not approach from behind or over his back. Let him see your hand in front of him. Try to slide your hand slowly under his chin and lift up to try and get him to climb on. He may puff up but that is ok. Just keep trying even though he is mad!

At 6 months he might be just going through a phase where he is more territorial because he's growing up. My male Veiled was a bit sulky for a couple of months but got calmer again. I carried on hand feeding him as much as I could, and handled him a bit less. He's not the friendliest anyway, but he doesn't mind me around most of the time
